Twenty years ago I was in a huge stadium in Manila singing this prayer together with thousands of brothers and sisters from 80 countries. My recent learnings about what it means for Jesus to be King made me appreciate it in a whole new way. I found myself alternating between weeping over the nations and declaring hope in Jesus Christ the King. As I listen on repeat as I write, I’m just going to prophesy over some of the nations I’ve worked in over the years. Go ahead and pray with me….

• Tunisia, the enemy’s grip is not that strong on you; you can shake loose!
• Japan, you’ve been told it’s too late, you’re too far stuck in your culture; it’s not true, God has you on his heart and he’s coming for you; there will be joy in the streets
• Paraguay, you are seen as weak, but you will be strong in Jesus; even now he is birthing something among the least and the last; the meek will inherit the earth
• India, so much pain, so much poverty, so much corruption; but your gods are no longer in charge, a new King has come, and you will be rescued
• Egypt, like in the days of Moses, your old gods have been defeated again by Jesus, and their influence is diminishing; they’re panicking because something is happening, growing in your midst
• Brazil, you are strong in Jesus; you can lead many to fruitfulness in his Spirit; don’t let religion hold you down; be free!
• Austria, tradition has its grip on you, but there is life in the Spirit of the Holy One, and you can taste it; drink deeply and rejoice
• Uganda, you are not forgotten, you are seen; your humility has attracted God’s attention; let his love flow out from you to the nations
• Saudi Arabia, the birthplace of Islam will become the kingdom of our God, and the true Rock will replace the black stone
• France, you are restless, fighting, wrestling with the current state of the world; turn to Jesus and find true hope for real peace
• Philippines, you’re not the victims of terrible powers, because Jesus Christ, in whom you’ve put your hope, is actually your King; appeal to Him!
• South Korea, I have poured out my Spirit on you and you have responded before and been blessed; return to me now, all of you, and join the prayer movements all around you
• America, you mean well, but you’ve mostly lost the script; love, my friends, love not hate; lay down your lives for other nations
• Uruguay, you’re bound up in things that have no authority over you; just walk away from pursuing wealth and control; walk across the street to your neighbor
• Mozambique, there is a powerful movement among your young people; don’t resist the move of my Spirit in them
• Germany, you’ve learned so much from your history; now’s the time to lead the world in imitating your humility; don’t shrink back
• Thailand, I am doing something now that you would have never believed if you hadn’t seen it; and it’s just the beginning; don’t be impressed, be expectant
• Canada, you are supposed to be the leaves of healing for the nations; don’t fight with them, reconcile them
• Nicaragua, so many rulers have run over you and abused you, but I see you; I see humble people, one by one, choosing to believe in their King
• Lithuania, you have endured much, yet kept your strength; rise up again, believe things that you can’t see yet; shout for joy
• Turkey, you stand in the gap between east and west; you’re afraid to embrace my gospel, but you know you have no other hope; receive your true destiny
• Bahrain, I have given you a space of freedom in a difficult region; my angels reside with you; begin to pray and pray and pray; I will answer
• Cambodia, my Spirit is falling on you like snowflakes; you don’t recognize me in the newness of my presence, but you will
• Mexico, stand up and believe that I am King; don’t give up, don’t give in to all the competing rulers; I am your King
• Portugal, you are ripe for harvest; vacations, ocean, beauty – these are not enough for you; you are looking for a kingdom that lasts
• Kenya, you of little strength, I see you; I have you in my sight; And I will use you to bring the gospel to Africa; do not be afraid, I am with you
• Haiti, such a reputation as the devil’s place, but it’s all not true; he is defeated and you all know it, you can feel it; change is in the air
• Malawi, so much potential, so suppressed, but let me tell you, you are free in Jesus; nothing stops you from following him to victory
• England, a humbling time for you, from where you came from; but you still have more influence than you think; lead the world once again, but this time to Me
• Burundi, chaos, war, famine, yet my promises are still true; will you endure; can you trust me; you will see the answers with your own eyes
• Ukraine, you know the hope to which he has called you; these sufferings are temporary; your glory will be restored
