Come to Me

Busy?

Then, because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat, he said to them, “Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.” – Mark 6:31

Tired?

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest…. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. – Matthew 11:28-30

Striving?

You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me,  yet you refuse to come to me to have life. – John 5:39-40

Empty?

I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. – John 6:35

Rejected?

whoever comes to me I will never drive away – John 6:37

Dry?

Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them. – John 7:37-38

Imagine Jesus is right beside you now. Feel his presence. Picture the look on his face. Sense his love for you, his delight in you. Let yourself smile: Jesus really likes you. He enjoys you. He knows you through and through. He understands. He’s patient. He’s content just to be with you. No place to go. Nothing to do. Just stay there until your soul is restored.
